Oracle VM is a platform that provides a fully equipped environment for effectively leveraging the benefits of virtualization technology. Enterprise Manager enables you to deploy operating systems and application software on Oracle VM virtualization environments.

Licensed Command Line Interface (CLI) Verbs
The Oracle VM Management Pack offers scalable, low-cost server virtualization that supports both Oracle and non-Oracle workloads. Consisting of open source server virtualization software and an integrated Web browser-based management console, Oracle provides an easy-to-use graphical interface for creating and managing virtual server pools, guest virtual machines and application workloads running on them.
Users can create and manage Virtual Machines (VMs) that exist on the same physical server but behave like independent physical servers. Each virtual machine created with Oracle VM has its own virtual CPUs, network interfaces, storage, and operating system. With Oracle VM, users have an easy-to-use browser-based tool for creating, cloning, sharing, configuring, booting, and migrating VMs.
Note:
Oracle VM Management Pack license is required to use the features described below in the Enterprise Manager graphical user interface, command-line interface, and published repository views.The Oracle VM Management Pack includes the features shown in Table 11–1.

From the Enterprise Manager Grid Control Console Home page, click the Targets tab, then click the Virtual Servers sub-tab. The Virtualization Central property page of the Virtual Servers home page appears.

When you click the link in the Status column for a host that is a Guest VM, Enterprise Manager displays the Availability (Status History) page, which is part of this licensed pack.
When you select the value in the CPU Util % column for a host that is a Guest VM, the metric history page for CPU Utilization (%) appears, which is part of this licensed pack.
When you select the value in the Memory Util % column for a host that is a Guest VM, the metric history page for Memory Utilization (%) appears, which is part of the licensed pack.
When you select the value in the Total IO/sec column for a host that is a Guest VM, the metric history page for Total Disk I/O Per Second appears, which is part of the licensed pack.
From the Oracle Enterprise Manager Host Home page for a host that is a Guest VM:
When you click the link in the Status field or the Availability field, the Availability (Status History) page appears, which is part of this licensed pack.

Select the Preferences link on the Enterprise Manager Grid Control Hosts page.
