Query Performance and Storage of Large Object (LOB) Columns

If your table contains Large Object (LOB) datatypes structured columns that are frequently accessed in queries but rarely updated, you can improve query performance by storing these columns out-of-line.

Note:

You cannot map attributes to a remote LOB column.
