The middle layer includes Oracle Clusterware, Oracle ASM, Oracle Automatic Storage Management Cluster File System (Oracle ACFS) file system, third-party file systems, and Oracle ASM Dynamic Volume Manager (Oracle ADVM).

The layer at the bottom is the Oracle ASM disk group.
